About the author

Dr Hodgson is a Cambridge graduate and Senior Lecturer Emeritus in Literature and Drama of the University of Sussex. He has published books on modern drama, including one on Tom Stoppard, and an extensive dictionary of dramatic terms - The Batsford Dictionary of Drama.
